"this" is a neat idea. As far as my conlangs go, I've had names meaning "language of the land", "language of magic", "I speak", and "Dragon's cry". The first two come from the same conworld so most of the languages in that conworld are "language of"s. "I speak" came when I really just didn't know what to call it and then thought that that would be straightforward, and "Dragon's cry" is a language where the conpeople who speak it are actually imitating the sounds dragons use to communicate. Just throwing stuff out there. I really like tying what the language is used for/how the people who speak it percieve the language into the name.
Using "this", to me at least, suggests the conpeople are frank. Like, "What language are you speaking?" "This one. Duh." Or something. [/speculation]
So that's my two cents.
